Because of the need for social distancing to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus The Village Hall and the Westlake Room will be closed for three months from Friday 27th. March until the end of June.

Hopefully by then this dreadful pandemic will be a thing of the past, but we will have to wait and see.

Watch the space for further news about the Balsall Common Village Hall. Stay healthy, stay safe.

Balsall Common Village Hall was built by public subscription in 1907 and had been modernised and well equipped to provide excellent facilities for a wide range of activities.  The hall has full disabled access and facilities.

There is a private car park, with capacity for 24 vehicles.  In addition there are three spaces at the front of the hall, which hirers can designate as disabled spaces if they wish.  These spaces are adjacent to the disabled access into the hall, and are also used by speakers bringing their own equipment for use at the hall.

The Hall provides very reasonably priced facilities for many local groups and is almost fully let 7 days of the week. Not only for local groups but also one off hiring for parties and other family occasions There are two rooms available: Main Hall and the Westlake Room. Do you want catering for your event? If so please click here.

Over the last few years the Hall has been refurbished- new toilets, including disabled; new double glazed windows; refurbished kitchen; car park tarmaced and marked out.

In 2012 a small extension was added to the Westlake Room, providing a kitchen area, unisex disabled toilet and a storage area, thus making the Westlake Room a completely self contained unit with excellent facilities for smaller groups.

The Village Hall is a registered Charity and welcomes village support.
