Click Here for details of the 2013 Christmas Market Events

Country Markets is a network of around 400 weekly local markets throughout England, Wales and the Channel Islands.  It is a co-operative that was set up 90 years ago to help local producers sell their produce to the public.

The Markets sell a range of home-made baked goods and preserves and home-grown Fruit, vegetables, plants and crafts.  Country Markets has an annual turnover of approximately £10million.  Its success is possibly one of  Britain’s best kept secrets.

Country Markets producers purchase a share in their local Country Market Society at the cost of just 5p and can then choose to produce as much or as little as they like to sell at the weekly market.  At the end of each month each producer receives payment for their sales minus a small commission to cover running costs of the market and insurance.
